2007-2008 ICPA Contest
UPDATE: New forms added on 1/10/07
Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, set as postmark deadline for
contest entries
It’s our contest time again, and we are preparing to recognize the best student work in newspapers, literary and news magazines, yearbooks, print advertising and online editions of our member publications. For the ninth year, we will also select and honor Indiana’s Collegiate Journalist of the Year. The awards will be announced and presented March
29, 2007, at our annual convention at Indiana State University. Last year at
Ball State University we gave out more than 300 awards to students from college and university publications from throughout the state.
Paid ICPA membership is required in order to submit contest entries. Please
download the form here and submit with your check. Renewal checks for 2007-08 will be accepted until Jan.
25 (firm deadline) and must be returned to the ICPA Executive Director at Ball State. For questions about membership status, send e-mail to Vince Filak, ICPA Executive Director, at
vffilak(at)bsu(dot)edu.
We are not mailing entry forms this year. Entry forms for all categories are available below as interactive
PDFs. Please fill out the form online or offline and then mail with your entries to the appropriate vice president. Please return entries via first- class mail, UPS or FedEx. Do not send entries “book rate.” Each entry requires a separate entry form. Please select the appropriate entry forms from among the following categories.
Please observe changes in our online and advertising categories for
2008. We've added and rearranged certain areas to better suit our member
publications.
The postmark deadline is Jan. 25, 2008. Also, please be aware that in
the newspaper categories, Division I entries are mailed to a different
address than Divisions II and III. Please make sure you’re mailing your
entries to the right address. The entries should be returned to the vice
president or officer who handles your entry categories. The address to
which entries should be mailed varies according to type of publication
and can be found in the lower left corner of the entry form.
New Media and Publication Surveys:
Please download and complete the following surveys and
return them by the same deadline.
