Please make plans to attend the Indiana Collegiate Press Association 2010 convention April 9-10 at Ball State University.
Join colleagues from college media outlets around the state as ICPA convenes at the newly remodeled Ball State University student center. Notes of interest this year include:
-- Friday night reception. It will be a great opportunity to network with fellow students and advisers.
-- Registration and breakfast start at 9 a.m. Saturday, with workshops at 10 and 11. Workshop topics confirmed so far include Investigative Reporting, New Trends in Design, Online Expectations, and, of course Getting A Job.
-- ICPA is proud to announce Dennis Ryerson, Editor of the Indianapolis Star, as this year’s keynote speaker (at noon).
-- The awards luncheon will begin at 12:30.
If you want to stay at the Pittenger Hotel in the Student Center (site of all of the convention events), call 765.285.1555 and ask for a room in the Indiana Collegiate Press Association block. Single occupancy twins are $55, double occupancy is $62. King or queen rooms are $65. All prices are plus tax.
Note the deadline to register is March 24. Cost remains the same as last year -- $39. A registration form is linked below. Please be sure to indicate whether you will also be attending the Friday evening reception.
