Become an ICPA Board Member
We're looking for dedicated, lively and passionate
journalists of all types to join the ranks of the Indiana Collegiate
Press Association Executive Board. We need students and faculty of ICPA
member schools to represent their peers in organizational meetings and
planning.
The board meets quarterly, typically around June,
September, December and prior the March convention. These meetings
usually take place Saturday at an ICPA member school.Given the workload
a board takes on, these meetings can increase in quantity.
Our main task is establishing and planning the annual
convention and awards but our priority is defending our right to a free
press.
Nomination Process
We listened to your feedback after Convention 2007 and made changes
to this year's program as a result. Nominations for the 2008-09 ICPA
Board will take place prior to the convention on March 28 and
29. This means no candidates will be accepted from the floor if all
board positions are filled in advance.
ICPA Members: You have the ability to make the
nomination process more efficient, which will allow us to move on to the
awards sooner. You must, however, submit your ballot in advance! See
below.
